EME’s are afforded automatic recognition status according the new B-BBEE Codes. Here only an affidavit is required. However, EMEs that fall in the transport sector and construction sector are STILL required to get a certificate
- For companies with no black-ownership, an automatic Level 4 B-BBEE status will be awarded.
- For companies with a 51% black-ownership, an automatic Level 2 B-BBEE status will be awarded.
- For companies with a 100% black-ownership, a Level 1 B-BBEE status will be awarded.
